The material commonly known as Kevlar is formally called poly-para-phenylene terephthalamide. It was developed in 1964 by a chemist at DuPont during research aimed at improving automotive tire efficiency in response to concerns over fuel shortages. The goal was to create tires that were lighter yet more durable.
During experimentation, the chemist unintentionally produced a new polymer solution that was initially considered unusable and slated for disposal. However, further testing revealed something remarkable: the fibers demonstrated extraordinary strength and resisted breaking, far outperforming traditional materials like nylon.
In the decades that followed, the exceptional properties of this high-strength fiber led to a wide range of applications, most notably in protective and ballistic armor systems capable of stopping bullets.
Kevlar Ballistic Panels
Ballistic Steel Walls
High-strength steel, such as AR-500, has become a widely used material for ballistic targets and body armor, and some clients also explore its integration into panic room wall systems. One of its key advantages is the ability to provide exceptional ballistic resistance in relatively thin profiles, allowing for space-efficient protection. In addition to its bullet-stopping capabilities, ballistic steel offers outstanding resistance to cutting, prying, and forced-entry attacks, making it a robust option for high-security environments.
High-performance fiberglass ballistic panels engineered for safe rooms, designed for fast and efficient installation.
Certified to UL 752 ballistic standards, with select configurations tested for Class IV forced-entry resistance, 60 minute fire protection, and impact resistance against storm driven projectiles. Provides sound attenuation while allowing cellular and Wi-Fi signals to pass through uninterrupted.

Designed to Blend Seamlessly
Security wall panels are engineered to disappear into the room’s design, matching adjacent walls, doors, and millwork.
- Flush mounted panels with invisible seams
- Continuous alignment with luxury security doors
- Custom dimensions for new builds or retrofits
- Perfect integration with baseboards, crown molding, and trim
From the outside, the room looks entirely ordinary, by design.
Armored Construction
Behind each panel lies a multi-layer security core built to resist forced entry, impact, and prolonged attack.
- Ballistic and blast-resistant material options
- Reinforced steel and composite layers
- Structural anchoring to floor and ceiling framing
- Engineered to complement armored door systems
Protection extends beyond the door, covering every vulnerable surface.
Architectural Freedom
Every wall panel is fully customizable to suit the home’s interior style.
- Natural wood veneers and millwork panels
- Painted finishes in a wide range of colors
- Fabric, leather, or specialty architectural surfaces
- Compatibility with locally sourced decorative panels
Luxury security remains completely invisible by design.
